The family's journey began in 1984 when they purchased their first vineyards, spending nearly two decades farming grapes for other local winemakers before establishing their own brand. In 2003, they opened Ponte Winery with a mission to break down the barriers of wine tasting, guided by their simple and approachable motto: "If you like it, it's good wine."
Since then, the estate has evolved into a premier destination, adding "The Restaurant at Ponte" and the 90-room boutique Ponte Vineyard Inn. Despite this growth, they remain committed to the land as environmental stewards; Ponte was the first winery in Temecula Wine Country to earn the Certified California Sustainable Winegrower designation, ensuring their 300 acres thrive for generations to come.
A classic Temecula Valley Cabernet with depth and approachability, the 2016 vintage opens with inviting aromas of ripe dark berries and subtle hints of spice. The 2022 Angry Wife Red is a lively, medium-bodied red blend that invites you in with vibrant aromas of ripe pomegranate and subtle spice. The 2022 Super T is inspired by the classic Italian Super Tuscan style, offering a vibrant interplay of dark fruit and savory complexity. Aromas of blackberry, plum, and red currant are complemented by subtle cedar and spice notes on the nose. The property is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were spacious and clean. We each stayed in a King Deluxe room that overlooked the beautiful pool. Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of Rose but a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. We received a free wine tasting for each guest at the tasting room as well as a free tasting at their sister property, Bottaia just up the street.
I've been to Ponte for lunch over the years but something has changed in the most wonderful way! The food was always good but now it is EXCEPTIONAL.
Ordered the wine country salad. Usually don't like balsamic vinaigrette but this one was absolutely sublime. Matched the salad perfectly. And the salad! Whoa! The candied pecans, feta, fresh lettuce spring mix & mandarin orange was divine!
Ponte Winery’s tasting room is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and guests are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis — reservations aren’t required for the general tasting room. Tastings include six pours from the current wine list, and all guests must be 21 or older.
Yes — Ponte offers a Vineyard Estate Tour that includes an electric bus ride through the vineyard, an inside look at the winemaking process, and wine tastings straight from tanks or barrels. Tours are offered Friday through Sunday by reservation, with special member pricing available.
While the general tasting room is open to all guests 21+, Wine Club members have access to the Reserve Room on weekends with complimentary tastings for themselves and one guest, plus discounted tastings for additional guests. Live music is also featured in the Reserve Room on Sundays.
